Community Market & Local Produce Co-op

Next Market: Sunday 7th February, 2010

9am-1pm

Local Produce Co-op: Calling all backyard growers to contribute to the stall - no contribution too small!

The Blackheath Community Market was set up by Blackheath C.A.N. Inc. in conjunction with Blackheath Public School. It is held on the 1st Sunday of every month between 9am and 1pm in the School Hall and grounds. Each month focusses on a different theme to help people gain the knowledge and skills to live more sustainably.

The new co-ordinator of the market is Deb Hurley. If you'd like to book a stall ring Deb on 0412867219. Ph/fax 0247843157 or send an email to debhurley100@yahoo.com This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

The Local Produce Co-op sells plants, seeds and locally produced food for members of the community who'd like to share their surplus but don't have enough to warrant taking out a whole stall. There is a minimal stall contribution of $2 for the Local Produce Co-op to sell your items for you.

The market specialises in locally grown and/or locally produced food, plants and seeds, locally made and recycled products and local entertainment. We encourage children to have stalls to swap their toys and we keep stall costs low so that local people are able to create income for themselves. The stall fees go towards the school garden.
